Health and medical services

Örnsköldsvik has a modern hospital with a wide range of services. There is specialist care available for medicine, surgery, geriatrics, orthopaedics, radiotherapy, psychiatry, a central laboratory, ophthalmic disease, aural disease, paediatrics and a women´s clinic and maternity ward.

There are care centres at Bredbyn, Bjästa, Domsjö, Husum, Själevad, Trehörningsjö and the town centre. At the care centre, you have access to a doctor, district nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and a trained social worker.
